Daily Itinerary for December 5-10, 2017
December 5: Today we meet at the Salt Lake Airport for our flight to Kansas City. Our luxury motor coach awaits. We’ll be on the same coach with the same driver for the six days we are in Branson and the tour is escorted by someone who knows Branson inside and out. On the drive into Branson, your director will share interesting and educational information as we prepare for a fun week together. Dinner is included at the entertaining “Lambert’s Café” as we make our way into the beautiful Ozarks. We’ll stay at the Holiday Inn Express for 5 nights. D
December 6: Free morning today. Option to see an extra show called “All Hands on Deck” which is a nostalgic World War II radio show performed on stage with Big Band music and USO entertainment. Or do some shopping or relax from your travel day. This afternoon, we’ll enjoy a show performed by The Dutton Family who sold everything and moved to Branson (from Utah) several years ago and have become a household name. This is a very impressive family who owns their own theater in town and puts on an energetic and hilarious Christmas show. After a rest, we’ll have nice dinner at the Shorty Smalls (delicious ribs) followed by an evening show: The Andy Williams Christmas Show. Of course, Andy’s not there but a variety of carefully chosen entertainers (including the Osmond Brothers, Lennon Sisters and more) perform a great Christmas show in Andy’s beautiful theater. On the way back to the hotel tonight, we’ll enjoy a delightful drive-thru display of Christmas lights and decorations. It’s an array of lights arranged in creative ways. B, D
December 7: This morning we’ll see an interesting IMAX film that shows us the history of the area in a moving Keith Merrill production. We will then show you around the area. Branson is more than just music. It is in a beautiful part of the country (in the Ozark Mountains) and there is some very interesting history. You’ll then have an hour of fun browsing and time for lunch. After lunch, we’ve arranged a back stage tour at the Sight and Sound Theater. We will see the show (Miracle of Christmas) there later in the week, and you’ll enjoy it a lot more having seen what goes on back stage. In the late afternoon, we’ll enjoy an early dinner and entertainment aboard the Showboat Branson Belle as it sails on Table Rock Lake. This continues to be one of the best activities in Branson that everyone loves. The food, talent level, variety of entertainment and holiday atmosphere are exceptional. After the cruise and a break, we’ll take you to the Dick Clark Theater to enjoy LEGENDS in Concert. These are talented impersonators of stars you know and love. B, D
December 8: We have a fabulous morning show today performed by George Dyer. He is from Kaysville and has been performing in Branson for 10+ years. He has an exceptional tenor voice that you’ll love. After lunch, we’ll enjoy “The Hughes Brothers” featuring a big with big energy and big talent (and very personable). Dinner is at Montana Mikes followed by our final show at Sight and Sound Theater. It’s called Miracle of Christmas and it’s an original musical production on Branson’s biggest and most impressive stage in Branson. It is HANDS DOWN the number 1 show in town. B, D
December 9: We begin our shows today with the likable and entertaining Brett Family. The Bretts have been in Branson for 18 years now and are well established as one of the most popular family shows in town (and a favorite of all our groups). You’ll see why. After a lunch break, we’ll give you some free time to relax or choose from other options. Dinner tonight is at the Grand Country Buffet followed by our evening show with the talented Presley Country Jubilee. The Presley Family (no relation to Elvis) has been performing in Branson since 1959 and they are consistently EXCELLENT. It is a perfect way to end our time in Branson. B, D
December 10: Today we return to the airport for our flights back to Salt Lake arriving in the early evening. You will have enjoyed 10 GREAT SHOWS, eaten some delicious meals, seen the beauty of the area, learned the interesting history of Branson, and you’ll have several new friends. Branson continues to be one of the most enjoyable vacations available. B
Tour price includes all transportation, lodging, 10 meals, 10 shows and is fully escorted by directors that have been to Branson many times. The only thing you will pay in addition to the tour price is lunch each day and souvenirs. Note that flights directly into the Branson Airport were discontinued as of October, 2014 which is why we are flying to Kansas City or Tulsa. The interesting drive down gives us a chance to get acquainted and enjoy the interesting scenery.
