Daily Itinerary:

Tuesday, September 4:  Today we depart by motor coach from Salt Lake.  We’ll get acquainted as we drive north into Idaho.  After lunch, we’ll enjoy an early afternoon session in the Twin Falls Temple.  We then continue into Meridian where we’ll enjoy a group welcome dinner.  D

September 5:  This morning after breakfast at the hotel we’ll attend a session in the new Meridian Temple dedicated in November, 2017.  We then continue east across the state with views of the Sawtooth Mountains and other lovely scenery.  After checking into our hotel, we will have dinner and a session in the newly rededicated Idaho Falls Temple.  You may have been before, but it has been completely redone and is magnificent inside.  B, D

September 6:  Today is mostly a travel day.  We make our way north into Montana, making a lunch stop in Butte.  In the afternoon, we continue along beautiful Flathead Lake making our way into Kalispel which will put us in position to enjoy tomorrow’s spectacular scenes.  There are places to eat dinner near the hotel. B

September 7 :  We are just a few minutes from Glacier National Park.  Upon arrival at Lake beautiful Lake Macdonald, we will exit our coach and board smaller vehicles and enjoy a fully guided tour that takes us through the 52 miles of this spectacular park (making multiple picture stops along the way). Guides will provide interesting commentary as we travel over Logan Pass on the "Going to the Sun" road.  This is the beginning of a VOLUME of incredible scenery that we’ll be seeing on this tour.  This 50 mile stretch of road through the middle of the park is truly awesome to see.  We'll enjoy stops in different areas of the park. We will then drive across the Canadian border into the town of Waterton on the shores of beautiful Waterton Lake. We’ll give you some time in the scenic town before enjoying an early dinner together.  It’s just 40 minutes into Cardston where we’ll enjoy a 7:00 session in the Cardston Temple.  This was our 6th operating temple (first in Canada) that is now 105 years old.  We stay in Cardston.  B, D

September 8:  A relaxing day today.  We’ll depart at 9:00 this morning and drive about 2 ½ hours up to Calgary.  We’ll turn you loose in a fun area downtown where you can get some lunch.  We’ll then enjoy an afternoon session in the Calgary Temple.  Our hotel tonight is 45 minutes to the west in the beautiful town of Canmore.  It’s an interesting drive going from the plains of Calgary into the heart of the Rockies in less than an hour.  We’ll stay for two  nights in Canmore with stunning mountain ranges on all side. B

September 9:  Today you will see the most beautiful alpine scenery in North America. After breakfast at our hotel, we'll enjoy an excursion into the Columbia Ice Fields.  The Icefields Parkway is among the world’s most scenic drives, with views of mountains and lakes that are among the most dramatic in the world.  We’ll stop at Bow Lake, Peyto Lake and other overlooks.  Our destination is the spectacular Athabasca Glacier, a massive river of ice that continues inch its way south.  We'll board the Snow Coaches and go onto the glacier (one of the few places in the world where one can do that).  On the way back, we’ll make picture stops at the incomparable Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.  Dinner is included at the Old Spagetti Factory in Banff tonight.  B, D

September 10:  Today we will sleep in and give you a little time in the town of Canmore.  Our drive today is about 220 miles making our way up to Edmonton.  We’ll arrive in the afternoon and check into our hotel.  After a rest, we’ll take you to the famous Edmonton Mall which is the largest mall in North America.  There’s an indoor lake, indoor amusement park and much more.  It’s a fun place to wander and get some dinner.  We stay in Edmonton tonight. B

September 11:  We start our day with a session at the Edmonton Temple, dedicated in 1999.  We then change clothes and check out and get some lunch.  Our afternoon drive takes us into Jasper National Park – our 4th national park on this trip.  In the late afternoon, we arrive in the mountain town of Jasper.  Jasper is quaint streets, fun history and dramatic mountain scenes.  You’ll have time to do some browsing and get some dinner in this alpine hamlet. B, L

September 12Today we have another hour of spectacular scenery as we make our way out of Jasper National Park.  We then make our way to the southwest passing through Clearwater and Kamloops (lunch) as we make our way toward the Vancouver area.  If time permits, we have a fun surprise when we are about 45 minutes from the hotel.  We stay in the suburb of Abbotsford tonight and we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner (one of the best meals of the trip) at the adjacent restaurant.  It’s turkey and stuffing and all the fixings in a private room as we celebrate the end of an inspirational journey.  B, D

September 13:  This morning we have our final temple session in the Vancouver Temple dedicated in 2010.  We then continue into Vancouver to show you some fun things before our flight.  We’ll stop at the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge (stunning scenery) and give you time for lunch in Gastown.  If time permits, we’ll stop at beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park on our way to the airport.  We fly from Vancouver back to Salt Lake (A passport is required for the flight).
