Webb Tours has been taking people to the world famous Tournament of Roses Parade since 1970. We are gearing up for the Rose Parade in 2024 and we will be there to enjoy it. And we’ll add some other fun things in the area that you’ll read about in this brochure. It’s an American and Webb Tours tradition going back decades. It continues to get better every year.
So join us as we ring in 2025! This one fills fast. Don’t wait!
We expect airfare to be roughly $300 per person.
We have had the same seats to watch the Rose Parade for over 40 years. They are at the beginning of the parade route with the sun at our backs – and the bus parks just steps behind us which is convenient for before and after the parade. These same seats are reserved again for the 2025 parade. Hope you can join us.
December 28, 2024: This morning, we’ll gather for our flight which arrives in Burbank. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the very interesting Reagan Library in Simi Valley which is full of interesting memorabilia from the Reagan years. We will continue to Santa Barbara (just 45 minutes away) where we will spend two nights in this BEAUTIFUL, ocean side city. You’ll have time for dinner on your own in the charming downtown area.
December 29: This morning, we’ll take you down to Shoreline Park for a chance to stroll and enjoy the views. We will also have a brief tour of City Hall. That may not sound interesting, but wait until you see it. We will then drive up to the charming Danish town of Solvang with it’s story book Main Street. You’ll have time for lunch and a bit of browsing. We will then take you into the scenic Santa Ynez Valley where we will visit an Olive Tree Farm (very interesting), local lavender fields and the Santa Ynez Mission. Just driving through the vineyards in this area is lovely. We then return to Santa Barbara where we have a lovely included dinner this evening. Tour pays for breakfast, admissions and dinner today.
December 30: This morning we drive south along the coast toward Los Angeles. We go directly to the Irwindale Pavilion which is a warehouse where the floats are being assembled. There is a flurry of activity as the live flowers are scattered over the floats. You can walk within a few feet of about 1/4 of the parade floats and have a chance to really appreciate the detail that goes into every float. After lunch, we have reserved seats to enjoy BANDFEST which is very enjoyable. During the parade, you only get a chance to see these talented bands briefly. At Bandfest, we can enjoy more of their talents – as these are the best bands in the country. We’ll show you around Hollywood this afternoon including time at Hollywood and Highland to see the Walk of Fame. Tonight you will have an option to see a Broadway Show at the Pantages Theater. The scheduled play is the hit Broadway show WICKED. Those who don’t wish to see a play will be transferred to the hotel. Note: Tickets to Wicked are not included in the price. Ticket price depends on seats. Breakfast, float viewing and Bandfest tickets included.
December 31: This morning we’ll drive up to the famous Griffith Park Observatory (near the Hollywood sign) for spectacular views of the city. We will then visit the famous Huntington Library to enjoy the beautiful gardens and interesting museums, We’ll have lunch (on own) while we’re there. After a rest, we’ll drive down to Long Beach and enjoy a fun and unique activity called Gondola Getaway. Authentic Venetian gondolas gently cruise us through the enchanting canals and waterways of Naples Island. It’s as close as you get to Venice in the USA. We will enjoy delicious New Year’s Eve dinner at Michaels in Long Beach. It is an elegant meal in a lovely setting. We then return to the hotel to rest up for the parade. Tour to pay for breakfast, dinner and Gondolas.
January 1: This morning we will arise early and head for Pasadena for the 134th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade. The parade continues to get better year after year. You’ll be among the first to see the spectacle as our excellent reserved seats are at the beginning of the parade route (near the network television booths). We have an unobstructed view in both directions and the sun is at our backs. In addition, the bus parks right behind our seats which is very convenient. It is often chilly until the sun comes up so it’s nice to have the bus close by just in case. It is the BEST POSSIBLE scenario for Rose Parade seats (we have enjoyed these seats for over 30 years). After the parade, we will transfer to the Burbank Airport for our flight back to Salt Lake. Tour to pay for light breakfast and parade seats.
