Transfer to your Waikiki hotel and enjoy a free evening in Waikiki at the Hawaii Waikiki Resort (1 minute walk to Waikiki Beach).

Return to your hotel around 10:30 PM
April 5: Free morning to enjoy Waikiki Beach or other activities in the Waikiki area. At mid day, we transfer to the cruise terminal to board the beautiful PRIDE OF AMERICA to begin our cruise. Ship sails this evening.
IF YOU FLEW IN FROM THE MAINLAND TODAY, you’ll arrive in the afternoon transfer to the ship.
April 6-7: Port of call in Maui. We have two days on Maui. On the first day, our optional excursion takes us to visit the lush Iao Valley to see the famous Needle in Maui’s most scenic area. We also visit the Maui Tropical Plantation and enjoy a train tour of the plantation showcasing Hawaii’s incredible flora. You have a free afternoon. On the second day, you can book something through the ship, or rent a car and drive the spectacular Hana Highway. The ship is in port until 4:00 on April 7.
April 8: Port of call in Hilo on the Big Island. This is a place of RARE beauty and wonder. From 14,000 foot peaks (Mauna Loa) to an erupting Volcano (Kilauea) to the flower capital of the world. Our optional private excursion today depends on the Volcano (which has finally stopped errupting after about 30 years of continuous eruption). We’ll stop at the Jagger Museum overlook (at the rim of the crater), see the steam vents and more. One of the highlights is a chance to walk through an extinct lava tube. Finally, we’ll see firsthand how the volcanoes have affected the landscape and give you a chance to walk on the hardened lava flows. We’ll then visit a Macademia Nut farm on our way back to the ship. If for any reason the park is closed, we’ll take you to Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens where we stroll through Hawaii’s premier garden paradise featuring waterfalls, plants of all varieties and all in an ocean front setting. It is spectacular. We then set sail for the other side of the Big Island.
April 9: Port of call in Kona. Located on Hawaii’s western shore where the slopes of Mauna Loa meet the sea is beautiful sun-drenched Kona. Our ship docks right in the quaint town so there is much to do within walking distance. If you like to get in the water, this is a good place to do it. It us usually quite warm here and the water is beautiful and refreshing. Our optional private excursion today is a historic tour of Kona and the surrounding area. Or if you prefer, just stroll the town or choose a different activity through the ship.
April 10: Port of call in Kauai. For many, Kauai is the favorite island. And with good reason. You have a full day and a half to enjoy it (with overnight in port). Our optional private excursion is a five hour trip that takes us to the spectacular WAIMEA CANYON, the grand canyon of the Pacific (wow!). We’ll also see the Poipu Beach area and the famous Spouting Horn. We’ll stop at Kona Coffee Plantation for some delicious ice cream in a scenic area of teh island.
April 11: We continue in Kauai today. This morning we visit a different part of the island. We’ll take a boat ride on the Wailua River to the famous Fern Grotto to see this interesting natural wonder. We have also included admission into the Smith Tropical Gardens which are LOVELY! We’ll make a picture stop at Opeka’a Falls before returning to the ship. We sail at 5:00 This evening for Honolulu.
April 12: We wake up in Honolulu today. We will enjoy a tour of Honolulu and a visit to Pearl Harbor with its newly opened Visitors Center. We’ll also visit the Dole Plantation which is always fun along with several other things. We’ll transfer to the airport for our flight home, arriving the morning of April 13th.
